The American Bar Association hosted a discussion on past actions of the American Press during times of war, such as: the leaking of the Pentagon Papers, disclosures of the NSA eavesdropping program and whether the press can be susceptible to criminal charges for reporting classified information. This event took place on August 9th at the ABA's Annual Meeting in New York City.

Linda Greenhouse retired from the New York Times in July after covering the Supreme Court for 30 years. She talked about the Supreme Court justices, changes in the Court, and the most memorable moments of her career. Ms. Greenhouse accepted a buyout from the New York Times earlier this year. She will begin teaching at Yale University Law School in January. Linda Greenhouse began covering the Supreme Court in 1978 when Warren Burger was the Chief Justice.
