Friday, June 26, 2009

Friday, the House approved the American Clean Energy & Security Act by a vote of 219 to 212. The climate change bill, a legislative priority of Pres. Obama's, centers on a renewable electricity standard and a cap-and-trade policy aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Senate is likely to take up the legislation after the July 4th recess.
