Employment Numbers Released by BLS

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that the unemployment rate dropped in January to 9.7% from 10%. The Labor Dept. says the number of employed Americans rose by 541,000. Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) chaired a Joint Economic Committee meeting to hear about the BLS report.
