INTERVIEW HISTORY
The Truman Presidential Museum and Library in early 2002 discovered, and released, 15 audio recordings, totalling approximately 12-and-a-half hours of private interviews between former President Harry Truman and his advisors William Hillman and David Noyes, which were recorded from September 8 to November 17, 1959. All but one of the recordings were used to help the former President in preparing his book, "Mr. Citizen." One recorded interview was used to assist Mr. Truman in writing a series of articles for the North American Newspaper Alliance.
Transcripts of the recordings form the basis for the book, "Talking with Harry: Candid Conversations with Harry S. Truman," edited by Ralph Webber and published by Scholarly Resources.
