Sen. Tom Cotton, Mike Rogers & Others Testify on 5G Security & Huawei Before British Committee

He spoke out about the U.K.'s proposals to allow Chinese company, Huawei, to supply up to 35% of 5G equipment. This move came under fire from the Trump administration and other congressional lawmakers, including Sen. Cotton, who recently submitted an amendment to legislation on countries dealing with Huawei. He warned the committee of China's global intentions, stressing their efforts to cause division in the West and told members he believed China was trying to drive a "high-tech wedge" between the U.S. and U.K. The committee also heard testimony from former House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Rogers (R) and retired Brig. Gen. Robert Spalding, who previously served on the National Security Council under the Trump Administration.
