When specifically asked about the Justice Department's special counsel report into President Biden's handling of classified documents and accounts of President Biden's mental fitness, Attorney General Garland said, "I have watched him expertly guide meetings of staff and cabinet members on issues of foreign affairs and military strategy and policy in the incredibly complex world in which we now face." He continued to say, "I could not have more confidence in the president."

House Presents Articles of Impeachment Against Homeland Secretary to Senate
40 minutesHouse lawmakers presented articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate. This makes Secretary Mayorkas the second U.S. secretary to be impeached by the U.S. House, and the first in 150 years. Impeachment managers included Mark Green (R-TN), Michael McCaul (R-TX), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Ben Cline (R-VA), Andrew Garbarino (R-NY), Michael Guest (R-MS), Harriet Hageman (R-WY), Clay Higgins (R-LA), Laurel Lee (R-FL), August Pfluger (R-TX), and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

He went on to say, "we felt very strongly that we had to set a precedent - that impeachment should never be sued to settle policy disagreements." The Senate leader also touched on border security, saying Democrats welcome a "serious debate" with Republicans over border security.
