Former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe testified before Senate Judiciary Committee concerning the review of the FBI Russia investigation. He defended the bureau's investigation saying, "We opened a case to find out how the Russians might be undermining our elections. We opened a case because it was our obligation and our duty to do so. We did our job." Mr. McCabe briefly served as acting FBI director in 2017 after the dismissal of James Comey by President Trump.
