57 minutes"My mother, Rosalynn Carter, was the most beautiful woman I've ever met, and pretty to look at too," said James "Chip" Carter, son of the former first lady and President Jimmy Carter, as he closed out his remarks during a tribute ceremony for his mother at the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta. Among those in attendance were President Biden and first lady Jill Biden, former President Clinton, and former first ladies Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, Michelle Obama, and Melania Trump. Mrs. Carter died on November 19, 2023, at her home in Plains, Georgia. She was 96 years old.
