President Zelensky called the agreement "the strongest" since Ukraine's independence, and said, "this is an agreement on security, and thus, on the protection of human life." Also announced during the press conference was the release of $50 billion from frozen Russian assets to help rebuild Ukraine. When asked by the press about his son Hunter, who was recently found guilty of three felony gun charges, President Biden said, "I'm extremely proud of my son Hunter. He's overcome an addiction ... I said I'd abide by the jury decision. I will do that. And I will not pardon him."

Campaign 2024: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Foreign Policy at Nixon Foundation

He began his remarks largely on constitutional rights and free speech. He criticized President Biden for what he called "political censorship" on social media after he took office amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Kennedy also spoke on foreign policy comparing the U.S. to other democracies around the world saying, "our government targets its own people with propaganda, surveillance and censorshipwe've lost faith in ourselves as a good people and a great nation." Following his remarks he took questions from the audience on a range of questions including voter ID and immigration. Kennedy's remarks at the Richard Nixon Library and Museum came two months before the 50th anniversary of Richard Nixon's resignation from the presidency.

Secretary of State Blinken Holds News Conference in Israel

The secretary made the remarks to reporters following meetings with Israeli officials in Tel Aviv. Mr. Blinken called Hamas' positive response to a United Nations vote in support of the cease-fire proposal a "hopeful sign."

Supreme Court Hears Case Challenging Abortion Pill Access
1 hour, 36 minutesThe Supreme Court ruled unanimously rejecting a challenge to the FDA's approval process and rules for expanded use of the abortion pill mifepristone. They said the group, the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine (AHM), which opposes abortions, had no standing to file suit and failed to show harm from the FDA's actions concerning the pill. Justice Brett Kavanaugh delivered the majority opinion for the Court. Oral argument was heard back in March 2024. The medication, approved by the FDA in 2000, is part of a two-pill regimen for terminating early pregnancies. In 2016, the FDA expanded the drug's use from seven to 10 weeks of pregnancy, reduced the number of in-clinic appointments needed and gave prescribing authority to health care providers who are not physicians. In 2021 the agency removed the in-person requirement altogether.
