Earlier today, the House debated and passed (will pass soon) a continuing resolution that will keep the government funded through April 28, 2017. The legislation includes $170 million for Flint, Michigan water issues and contains money for President-Elect Trump's security. The measure now heads to the Senate for consideration, with government spending set to expire at midnight on Friday, December 9. At the end of debate Appropriations Chair Harold Rogers had some parting words, as this session brings a close to his term as Chair.
