Mr. Spicer called his comments inexcusable and reprehensible. His apology came during an event at the Newseum that focused on the press and the presidency. White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway also participated in this discussion. Others taking part included White House correspondents for many of the major television networks and former officials with the Barack Obama and George W. Bush administrations.

NASA - Exoplanets Beyond Our Solar System
41 minutesFive scientists from NASA and the space agency's research partners announced the discovery of seven Earth-like exoplanets during a news conference at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC. The discovery was considered by the scientists to be of particular interest because it was the largest group of exoplanets found to date with life-sustaining characteristics. After presenting an overview of their findings on the so-called TRAPPIST-1 system, the scientists answered more than a dozen questions from reporters and the public via telephone and social media.
