He then went to a nearby coffee shop, where he spoke with students from Tufts University. He then headed to Newmarket to speak to local Democrats. There, Mr. Patrick took questions from the group, including some on how he plans to be tougher than previous presidents, and also where he would and wouldn't be flexible regarding gun legislation.

Bridget Kelly and William Baroni, Jr. are the two people at the center of this case. Kelly is the former deputy chief of staff to then Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) who was convicted of several federal charges including fraud and conspiracy for her role in shutting down two lanes, from Jersey City onto the George Washington Bridge that goes into New York City, for four days causing major traffic chaos for residents and city officials. Baroni, who was also convicted of the same charges, served as the deputy executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Originally, officials cited a study for the lane closures but later the real reason for the closing was political payback against the Fort Lee mayor who refused to endorse Gov. Russian President Vladimir Putin Delivers State of the Nation Address

House Republican Leader McCarthy Weekly News Conference

The minority leader criticized House Democrats' engrossment ceremony the previous day, calling the impeachment "a taxpayer-funded campaign stunt for the Democrats." Rep. McCarthy also downplayed a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report that found that the Trump administration violated the law when it withheld aid to Ukraine, saying the White House Budget Office disagreed with the findings. He also took questions on Lev Parnas, an associate of President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, who claimed that the president was aware of his activities in Ukraine. "This man lacks all credibility," he said.
