President Trump and members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force held a briefing on the federal government's response to the pandemic. When asked about Georgia's plan to reopen parts of the state economy in the coming days, the president responded, "I'm not happy about it and I'm not happy about Brian Kemp." He said he voiced his opinion with the Republican governor, but was ultimately leaving it up to each state to decide how to reopen. President Trump also said his administration may extend its social distancing guidelines until early in the summer or even later.
