Members of the House Rules Committee met to consider the Delivering for America Act (H.R. 8015), which was introduced by House Oversight and Reform Chair Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) to address delays in mail delivery by the United States Post Office due to recent changes made by the new Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. The Act provides $25 billion dollars in funding for the postal service and returns service levels to the standards at the beginning of 2020. The Rules Committee voted to send this legislation to the House floor for debate.
