The Trump administration later pulled out of the Iran deal in 2018. Moreover, some other members asked about Mr. Lew's commitment to working with Israel in order to protect innocent Palestinians and civilians amid the ongoing war. At the start of the hearing, three pro-Palestinian protesters were escorted out of the room after causing disruptions.
