Aquilino Gonell during the start of his remarks at a news conference outside of the U.S. Capitol marking the three-year anniversary of the January 6 attack on the Capitol. He said it was his duty on that day "to defend the Capitol," and he criticized House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for ordering the blurring out of the faces of rioters in the videos of the January 6th attack to protect them from prosecution by the Justice Department.
