The comments from the top House Democrat came during a briefing with reporters where he also talked about the ongoing presidential campaign and the 9/11 remembrance ceremonies celebrated the day prior.

She recounted stories of having no food for patients and needing to place the remains of recently deceased babies in Amazon boxes instead of the required bereavement boxes in order to take them to the morgue because they did not have the necessary resources. Steward Health CEO Dr. Ralph de la Torre did not appear at the hearing after refusing to comply with the committee's subpoena.
