DNC Voting Rights Commission News Conference

AT&T was formally selected in March 2017 to build and operate this public safety broadband network. Five states including Virginia, Wyoming, Arkansas, Kentucky and Iowa have joined the FirstNet network.

Political Unrest in Venezuela

The secretary general of the Organization of American States gave a keynote address highlighting the situation on the ground, the arrests and deaths of peaceful protestors, and how the government's crackdown is reminiscent of a dictatorship. Later, Latin American experts discussed the humanitarian crisis in the country, the need for more international pressure against the Venezuelan political leaders and argued if the U.S. imposed unilateral oil sanctions against the country it would hurt the people more than the government.
