Panelists discussed several areas including the rise of the movement through social media, the history of technology in protests, holding police officers accountable, and protecting the rights of those who record protests or violent crimes involving police officers on their mobile devices. Representatives from leading veterans organizations also participated in order to provide input on the Commander John Scott Hannon Veterans Mental Health Care Improvement Act of 2019 (S.785), which had recently been passed in the Senate and was expected to soon be taken up by the House.
