In the hearing, concerns were expressed about the Chinese social media app TikTok as well as Apple's cooperation with the Chinese government, particularly regarding storing Chinese customers' iCloud data and encryption keys in China. Representatives from both TikTok and Apple declined invitations to appear before the committee at this hearing.
