Defense Secretary Mark Esper held a press briefing to outline his department's coronavirus response efforts. Secretary Esper announced that the Pentagon would make available up to 5 million respirators and 2,000 deployable ventilators to the Health and Human Services Department. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) held a news conference to discuss legislative efforts to respond to the coronavirus pandemic. Sen.
