Attorney General Announces Nearly 300 Opioid Arrests

Dubbed "Operation SpecTor," authorities involved with the operation seized more than 850 kilograms of drugs, including 64 kilograms of fentanyl and fentanyl-laced products, most of which was being sold via online transactions on the dark web.

Pentagon Details Troop Deployment to U.S. Southern Border

The Homeland Security Department put in the request for support. Officials were expecting a surge in migrants trying to enter the U.S. as Title 42, a public health policy put in place during the pandemic to stem the flow of migrants entering the U.S., came to an end. Brig. Gen. Ryder stressed the 1,500 troops from the Army and Marine Corps would not be participating in any law enforcement activities.
