2024 GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley clarified her understanding of the cause of the U.S. Civil War while campaigning at a town hall in North Conway, New Hampshire. She also talked about her plans for the economy and for addressing illegal immigration. Ms. Haley then took questions from the audience, one of which was a 9-year-old boy who questioned whether or not she would pardon former President Trump. The town hall came just three weeks before New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation GOP primary election.
2024 Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie spent the morning meeting with voters in Seabrook, New Hampshire. He commented on fellow GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley's remarks on the cause of the U.S. Civil War in which she didn't mention slavery as a contributing factor of the war. He also took questions from voters on the investigation into President Biden's son Hunter. This comes just a few weeks prior to the January 23rd New Hampshire GOP primary election.
