He further said, "everything else is subordinate, or secondary to that critical goal." Several topics were addressed during the conversation, including the need for more humanitarian aid in the region, the possibility of a prolonged ceasefire, threats posed by Iran and other terrorist organizations in the region, and protecting the lives of innocent Palestinians. Also addressed was the role of the United Nations and concerns over reports of several employees of the U.N.'s Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRA) having ties to Hamas.
