"Today we can lay a new foundation of stability, and on that foundation, we can start to rebuild Britain, a Britain renewed by an old argument that we serve working people as their ambition drives our country," said Labour Party Leader Keir Starmer as he unveiled his party's agenda during a campaign event in Manchester, England. He spoke on the Labour Party's plan for the country's future as he highlighted several priorities, including health care reform, housing affordability, economic growth and wealth creation, and infrastructure investment. When asked how his platform differs from his opponent, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the Labour leader said, "I'm running as a candidate to be prime minister not a candidate to run the circus." Mr. Starmer is currently leading the prime minister in the national polls and is favored to win the July 4, 2024, general election.
