President Biden thanked Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu and the leaders of Qatar and Egypt for working with him on this deal over the past several weeks. He also said that more hostages were expected to be released by Hamas in the coming days, but didn't know when more Americans would be freed. In late October, two Americans--a mother and daughter--were released by Hamas.
