Federal Reserve Chair Holds Press Conference

He also acknowledged that it appears interest rates are likely at or near peak but stressed future hikes are not completely off the table. The Federal Open Market Committee, an arm of the Federal Reserve, is tasked with setting monetary policy and meets eight times annually. The committee is scheduled to meet next on January 30 and 31, 2024.
