As the 2024 presidential election cycle progresses through the primary season, news anchors from ABC, CBS, NBC and the PBS NewsHour discuss their approaches to covering the 2024 presidential campaign. They focused on how to reach more viewers of all backgrounds and shared their approaches to involving and giving a platform to diverse voices. Disinformation and the evolution of covering the presidential election compared to 2016 and 2020 was also a focus. This discussion was held in Washington, DC and presented by The News Literacy Project.

"Let me begin with the bottom line the economy is performing well, and the near-term prospects are good," said Mark Zandi, chief economist for Moody's Analytics, during remarks at an event hosted by the National Economists Club (NEC) in Washington, DC. He highlighted several factors to support an optimistic view of the economy, such as decreasing inflation and consumer confidence, but pointed out several factors that could pose risks, like oil prices and the country's current financial situation. Other topics addressed included interest rates, commercial and residential real estate, and the impact of climate change on the economic outlook.
